When we established Distillarium, we did not set out to recreate the wheel of distilled spirits, but to mirror the practices of master distillers from bygone eras. We knew this would take more than sourcing the finest raw materials and the most exquisite oak casks. The Distillarium would have to be founded on the principles of patience. When creating our batches of barrel-aged spirits, we look not to what is, but the premium quality and perfected craft of what once was.

Ken Miller

Co-Owner, CEO

As CEO, Ken brings over 20 years of business experience, entrepreneurship, and passion for the art of distilling to the business. He spent his childhood in Texas where he grew up playing baseball and was eventually drafted to the Minor Leagues to play for the Philadelphia Phillies in the 80s. He attended McNeese University in Lake Charles, LA, before transferring to Sam Houston State University in Houston, TX where he graduated with B.S. in Business Administration. He eventually started his own environmental company with his wife, Isabel, in 1998. He is an avid golfer and has a sweet tooth for anything from cheesecake to key lime pie.

Isabel Miller

Owner

As Chief Visionary Officer, Isabel assists in creative decisions and ensuring our customers have the best experience possible. Born in El Salvador where she came from an entrepreneurial family, she moved to Texas in 1990 amidst a civil war. Her personal struggle cemented in her a desire to succeed and persevere despite all odds. This led her to found her own cleaning company in 1993. Five years later, she and Ken developed an environmental company. Her passions include autism awareness, tennis, cooking, and of course, her children.

Austin Hallford

Master Distiller

With a keen sense of innovation and an unwavering dedication to quality, Austin Hallford has earned a reputation for producing spirits that transcend the ordinary. Austin comes to us from Alabama, where his passion for still building and adventure led him to the Pacific Northwest. When he’s not actively dreaming up new products, he continues to partake in Washington’s beautiful nature through fishing, mineral prospecting, and exploring.

Ashley Hallford

General Manager

As General Manager, Ashley wears many hats at The Distillarium. Whether she’s designing our next label or assisting in new product development, she keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes. Ashley spent her childhood on the northern shores of the beautiful Flathead Lake in Bigfork, Montana. Later, she graduated from Montana State University where she studied architecture, drafting and design. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring Washington’s nature with her husband, Austin, and spending time with their English Setter, Belle.

Jessica Bacon

Mixologist

As the tasting room mixologist, Jessica oversees the design of seasonal craft cocktails that highlight The Distillarium’s line-up of craft spirit. Born in Tennessee, Jessica grew up in Yakima and loves sharing her creativity with the local community. When she isn’t concocting your next favorite craft cocktail, she enjoys spending time with her family and two huskies, hiking, and kayaking.
